Grant Kasowanjete is the current Global Coordinator for the Global Campaign for Education. He has worked in various sectors such as agriculture, health, education, and democracy.

Julie Juma joined the GCE in January 2023 as the Education Out Loud (EOL) Programme Manager after working with ActionAid for 18years. Prior to joining ActionAid she worked for the Ministry of Education in Malawi. She is based in Malawi.

Wolfgang Leumer joined the GCE in January 2014 as the head of the Civil Society Education Fund (CSEF) Programme, after working 33 years for a German NGO in the field of non-formal and basic education

Vernor Muñoz joined GCE in October 2017, after working with Plan International and acted as a consultant for UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF and other international organizations.

Phumza Luthango has a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Law and Political and International Relations (Rhodes University) Postgrad Diploma in Public and Development Management with distinction in Public Policy (Wits University).

Cecilia Soriano, also known as Thea, has an extensive background in the CSO education sector, spanning over three decades.

Asandiswa joined GCE in September 2023. She Joins GCE as a MERL Officer. Asandiswa holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours from Rhodes University.

Khuselwa Mxatule joined GCE in February 2017 as Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer for the Civil Society Education Fund (CSEF) and was promoted GCE MEL Manager in June 2019. She now works in the Secretariat as the Knowledge, Exchange and Learning Manager.

Anjum Lalla Yu joined GCE in November 2016 as the Internal Audit Coordinator for the Civil Society Education Fund (CSEF) Programme, based at the GCE office in Johannesburg.

Salma Deedat is GCE’s Administrative Officer since 2010, based in the GCE office in Johannesburg. She provides technical and logistical support to GCE’s multiple projects, meetings, conferences, and workshops; coordinates office activities and operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency within the movement,

Vicky Mogeni joined GCE in March 2021 as the Knowledge Management and Learning officer to foster learning across the GCE membership and the secretariat. Prior to GCE, Vicky worked with UNICEF USA in New York.

Rosa-Lena Mabunda is a qualified Strategic Communications practitioner with a BA in Strategic Communications in Marketing, majoring in Applied Strategic Communications and Strategic Communications, and an Honours degree in Strategic Communications. She is also well-versed in solution-based thinking, problem-solving, and creating purposeful communications.
