Ester Simon

Ester Simon, daughter of the land of the brave-Namibia. She serves as the President of Pan African Female Youth leaders, a continental organization represented in 27 African countries.

Ester Simon,  daughter of the land of the brave-Namibia.  She serves as the President of Pan African Female Youth leaders, a continental organization represented in 27 African countries. She is a firm student activist and a Pan Africanist passionate about Access to Education, Community Development and Social Justice and a solid advocate of students rights. 

Ester currently serves as the Secretary General of the Southern African Students Union. A mother body for student unions in SADC. She equally served as the 17th and 1st Female President of the Namibia National Students Organizations (NANSO). In addition, she served as the youngest Presidential Advisor on the High-Level Panel on the Namibian Economy (HLPNE) to His Excellency President, Dr. Hage Gottfried Geingob. Appointed by the Head of State to  formulate a blueprint on strategic solutions to revive the Namibian Economy.  Continentally, Ester also serves as the Chairperson of the African Union Youth Club- Namibian Chapter and Country Representative to the AU- SARO where she advocates and champions Agenda 2063 and spread awareness on the African Youth Charter.  Globally, Ester serves as a board member on the Global Campaign for Education Board. Ester hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literature as well as an Honors degree in Communication from the University of Science and Technology and currently studying towards a Masters in Leadership and Change Management.

The Global Campaign for Education (GCE) is a civil society movement that aims to end exclusion in education. Education is a basic human right, and our mission is to make sure that governments act now to deliver the right of everyone to a free, quality, public education.
