Article 10 of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women calls upon States Parties to “eliminate discrimination against women in order to ensure to them equal rights with men in the field of education.”

CEDAW is developing a General Recommendation to interpret the definition, scope and expectations regarding the right to education, as outlined in Article 10; this submission is GCE’s contribution to the development process.
