The challenges of international financing for education. An opportunity for Spanish cooperation

On the occasion of the United Nations Transforming Education Summit in September 2022, Spanish coalition of the Global Campaign For Education, a coalition led in Spain by Ayuda en Acción, Educo, Entreculturas and Plan International, presented its new report 'The challenges of international financing for education. An opportunity for Spanish cooperation'.

The report contains a brief overview of the current situation of education and the impact of COVID-19 on the fulfilment of SDG 4, in the educational community, especially teachers. It analyses the needs, structure and evolution of international financing for the fulfilment of the right to quality education and proposes a series of crucial recommendations for Spain and the international community, including the need to take courageous decisions on the transformation of the international financial architecture.
