The Global Campaign for Education could not to be what it is now without the efforts of all its members. As 2018 is about to end, the GCE is a well-established and sparkling movement. 2019 will begin with an unprecedented success to a democratic experience no other movements have seen.

Upholding the Campaign’s roots and values is a responsibility on all its members, and it is our collective duty to to keep the conditions of democracy alive within the movement.

Let 2019 be the year of building, improving and enhancing the capacities of the coalitions, and achieve the aspirations and expectations of millions who are hoping to access a quality, free, inclusive education for all.

On the eve of the new year, I would like to wish you a happy 2019 and extend my warm wishes to you and your family for a year full of happiness, respect for others, health and success in all that you undertake individually and collectively.

The past year was a turning point for our global movement, with the World Assembly and the election of the new Board of Directors of the Global Campaign for Education.
2019 will be a particularly challenging year for our movement. Indeed, the new programme (ASA) will come into play and will have a decisive impact on the future of our advocacy campaigns. 2019 will also be the 20th anniversary of the Global Campaign for Education. Great battles lie ahead of us and we need health, peace and courage to achieve our goals, especially the SDG4. Happy 2019 to all!

On behalf of the Global Secretariat, please allow me to extend my personal and genuine appreciation to each and every one you for your valuable contributions to our movement. Working with you this past year has been a pleasure and we’re proud to have you all with us. Thank you for your dedication, loyalty and commitment.
