GCE is excited to host a global youth event on 23 April 2026 as part of the Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) 2026.
This event will bring together youth activists, student leaders, and young advocates from across regions to exchange experiences, sharpen advocacy skills, and co-create messages and demands on how governments and donors must fairly and sustainably finance inclusive, quality public education for all.
Through panel discussions, creative interventions, and advocacy dialogues, young people will highlight how underfunded education systems shape their daily lives, and why investing in public, gender-transformative, and disability-inclusive education is essential for a just and peaceful future.
By placing youth voices at the centre of GAWE 2026, this event will reiterate the demand for governments to hold the flame high for education by increasing, protecting, and transforming education financing – now.
