Civil society constituency convenes in Paris ahead of GPE Board meeting

The Board of Directors of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) is convening in Paris from 3-4 June 2026.

Ahead of the meeting, the civil society constituency met with GPE CEO Laura Frigenti, who shared key updates on the upcoming replenishment campaign, culminating at the UN General Assembly on 23 September 2026.

Representing the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), Phumza Luthango, alongside Rasheda Choudhury from the Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE) Bangladesh and Solange Apko from the Africa Network Campaign on Education for All (ANCEFA), highlighted shared challenges and opportunities to strengthen collaboration at both country and global levels. Discussions focused on leveraging partnerships, supporting the replenishment process, and advancing cross-sector collaboration in the lead-up to the summit.

A new foundation, IFEed, was also launched during the meetings, featuring a panel led by private sector and foundation representatives.

These discussions and commitments highlight the critical importance of coordinated global efforts to strengthen education systems and mobilise sustainable financing ahead of the replenishment milestone.
