Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) 2026 rallied GCE members and partners worldwide under the call to “Hold the Flame High” focusing on education financing as a question of justice and political choice.
The campaign called for debt cancellation, progressive taxation, and reform of the global financial system so countries can fund inclusive, gender-transformative public education instead of war and debt repayments. Through global launches, youth-led webinars, capacity-building workshops, and regional actions, coalitions linked national budget advocacy to global processes on tax, debt, and SDG 4, amplifying the call to “Invest in Education, Transform Lives” across a shared multilingual narrative and visual identity.
