Global Partnership for Education (GPE). A joint solidarity letter to the African Union on the impact of COVID-19 on girls’ education and child marriage was issued by GPE, Plan International, Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), Rozaria Memorial Trust, and Girls Not Brides, the Global Partnership to end Child Marriage.

High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on sustainable development 2020 edition will take place on 7 to 16 July under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

UNESCO calls all education activists, and movements to participate in its initiatives.

Worldwide Inequalities Database on Education (WIDE), the new tool “Scoping Progress in Education”, (SCOPE) and the platform, “Profiles Enhancing Education Reviews”, (PEER) were launched.

UNESCO, Joint Youth Statement on Investing in Education and Youth presented during the virtual meeting of the SDG Education2030 Steering Committee on 4 June 2020.

Global Education Monitoring (GEM) 2020 Report.

GPE has increased COVID-19 emergency fund to US$500 million. An additional US$250 million has been set aside to help developing countries respond to the immediate and long-term disruptions to education caused by the pandemic, bringing the total fund to US$500 million. The funding will help sustain learning for up to 355 million children in 67 countries.
