What happened in Action Week 2007?

The mass JOIN UP event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, who promised to establish a higher authority to monitor education standards in the country.

Children from disadvantaged communities, teachers and parents walked 5km with banners demanding Quality Education in Zambia. Throughout the week there were radio discussions on education and the public had the opportunity to call and air their views on Education Rights.

The calls were echoed by the coalition who put heavy demands on the government to prioritize steps for education rights.
