What happened in Action Week 2008? Over 44,000 students demanded Education Without Exclusion for All as part of Global Action Week. The World's Biggest Lesson was simultaneously taught in more than 400 schools across the country to local and national authorities who listened to the concerns and suggestions made by the students, destined to raise awareness regarding "quality education for all, without exception" and to remind leaders of the promises made at the World Forum in Dakar, 2000.
The central event was developed in the city of Santiago, and was attended by authorities of the Ministry of Education, the National Service for Minors, ILO, UNICEF and UNESCO, Mayors of different Municipalities, Education Director and hundreds of teachers and Local Leaders.
Global Action Week for Quality Education in Chile is organized by the Option Corporation, and this year counted with the important participation of Ministries of Education, the National Service for Minors, and the collaboration of the Regional Education Office of Unesco for Latin America and the Caribbean, the National Forum for Quality Education for All, the Association of Chilean Municipalities, the College of Teachers, the Division of Social Organizations of the Ministry Secretariat General of Government and SOS Children's Villages Chile.

What happened in Action Week 2007?
The Right to Education was discussed by pupils across the country. Inspired, children debated and presented their conclusive reports to the regional authorities in public ceremonies.
They also logged onto Chile’s own special JOIN UP web chain at www.opcion.cl/educacion. A huge banner was then hung outside the government buildings with the number of people who’d Joined Up on line and demanded education rights.
The week’s highlight was when the Education Minister, Yasna Provoste Campillay, met pupils in Santiago to hear about what they had found out and what theywanted from the government.
