What happened in Action Week 2009?
Action Week got off to a successful start, with the opening ceremony attended by the Minister of Education. Around 700 people participated in the week's various activities, such as:
- meetings with youth at high schools, discussing gender roles and the impact of this on education
- cultural activities
- exhibitions
- a book sale
- and a radio debate
The activities were implemented by NGOs and civil society groups, and the National Teachers Association SINPROF under the coordination of Angola's Education for All Network.
