What happened in Action Week 2008?
In Senegal, Politicians went back to school in four regions. The regions are Dakar, Kaolack, Diourbel and Louga. MPs, opinion leaders and celebrities attended the events.

The World's Biggest Lesson took place in four schools and messages and testimonies were collected. Two testimonies were given to show both sides of the spectrum, one by a child and the other by a 60 year-old.

There was a specially televised documentary on quality education. Children delivered messages and testimonies about education to political leaders and celebrities. The organisers also launched a "Policy review of inclusive and special education in Senegal".
What happened in Action Week 2007?

Beside the cross-boarder chain with the Gambia, another big JOIN UP chain event took place in Sokone.

The campaign got lots of attention thanks to the popular comedian Saanex and musician M. Falou Dieng who called upon the government to spend more on education.

After a busy week the Minister of Education responded to campaigners queries on the education budget in the national media.
