What happened in Action Week 2008?
What happened 2008?Somalia kicked off the World's Biggest Lesson in the Old Football Stadium in the district of Abdal Aziz, southeast of the capital city of Mogadishu. The lesson focused on how to address the education needs of internally displaced children who had been excluded from school following the violence in Mogadishu. Several government officials attended the lesson.
What happened in Action Week 2007?

Action Week got off to a successful start, with a massive human chain. More than 3,000 people in 10 main cities of Somalia taking part. 800 teachers from 160 schools and the Minister of Education Mr. Ismail Hurre Buubaa attended the JOIN UP day. Activists presented their demand to the government by asking for the enforcement of free compulsory education for all Somali children. In addition, 500 paper cut-out swere chained together in the main cities of Somalia. The chains, asking for Education to be made available to All, were then addressed and sent to the German Chancellor, Merkel ahead of the G8 summit.
